About Gala Estate
Gala Estate is a vineyard located on Tasmania’s East Coast, with it’s historic homestead being established in 1821, making it one of the oldest farming properties in Australia. The estate is family-owned, and its vineyards lie in the cool climate of the East Coast wine region, where long, mild seasons are ideal for growing premium grapes like Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc.
Gala Estate wines are known for their elegance, vibrant acidity, and expression of Tasmania’s unique terroir. The vineyard uses sustainable practices and is dedicated to low-intervention winemaking, allowing the natural character of the grapes to shine. The wines often showcase fresh, crisp fruit flavors and balanced structure, with the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay particularly standing out for their complexity and finesse.
The estate’s heritage, combined with Tasmania's pristine environment, makes Gala Estate wines highly sought-after, reflecting both history and modern craftsmanship.
