About Milton Wines

Milton Vineyards and Winery, located in the East Coast wine region of Tasmania, is celebrated for producing some of the island's finest cool-climate wines. Established in 1996 by David and Gilli Walsh, the vineyard benefits from a unique microclimate, characterized by sunny days and cool sea breezes from nearby Great Oyster Bay. This climate, combined with the region’s rich soils, creates ideal growing conditions for grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Pinot Gris. The Walsh family’s commitment to sustainable farming practices and minimal intervention winemaking allows the natural characteristics of their terroir to shine through in each bottle.

Milton’s wines are known for their purity, elegance, and vibrant acidity, reflecting the cool maritime climate of Tasmania. The winery has earned numerous accolades and a strong reputation among wine enthusiasts and critics alike for its exceptional quality. Visitors to Milton Vineyards can enjoy a welcoming cellar door experience, where they can taste the diverse range of wines, learn about the vineyard’s history and winemaking philosophy, and take in the stunning coastal views. With a focus on craftsmanship and sustainability, Milton Wines continues to be a leading producer in the Tasmanian wine scene, offering wines that beautifully express the unique terroir of their region.
