SISU Wines is a boutique producer based in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley, crafting cool-climate wines that reflect precision, purity and a strong sense of place. The name “Sisu,” a Finnish word meaning quiet determination and inner strength, underpins the winery’s philosophy. The estate focuses on sustainable vineyard practices and minimal-intervention winemaking, allowing the fruit and terroir to speak clearly in every bottle.
The range centres on classic cool-climate varieties including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling, alongside smaller plantings such as Gamay and other aromatic whites. Fruit is hand-harvested and handled gently in the winery, with wild ferments and restrained oak use contributing to wines that are vibrant, structured and age-worthy.
