This Tahbilk has flavour and style with white peaches and nectarine fruits.  A floral note of Jasmine flowers is intertwined with minerality, quince and limes which then finishes with refreshing acidity and spice. Like many before it, this wine should cellar well over the next decade and go well with crumbed scallops or herb crusted Pork Tenderloin
Region: Central Victoria
Budburst Rating: #excellentwine 93pts

About Tahbilk Wines

Tahbilk Wines is one of Australia's most historic and celebrated wineries, established in 1860 in the Nagambie Lakes region of Victoria. The estate is renowned for its rich heritage and commitment to traditional winemaking techniques, producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. The winery's name, Tahbilk, is derived from the local Aboriginal word meaning "place of many waterholes," highlighting its connection to the landscape.

Tahbilk is especially famous for its Marsanne, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon, with its Marsanne being one of the oldest and most extensive plantings in the world. The winery's dedication to preserving old vines and classic winemaking methods is evident in its meticulously crafted wines, which exhibit complexity, balance, and longevity.

In addition to its focus on traditional varieties, Tahbilk also embraces sustainability, with extensive environmental programs aimed at conserving the natural habitat and promoting biodiversity. The estate features original 19th-century buildings and underground cellars, offering a glimpse into its storied past while continuing to innovate and excel in modern winemaking.
